Jet Pumps
A Jet Pump is a pump with a small jet of water, air, steam that lifts it in a rapid motion. They deliver the water with recommended pressure to the household or to the sprinkler systems. They are also known as the ejectors for the compression or mixing of liquids, vapours and or gases. They are mainly used for the liquid handling device, through that a motive fluid is passed with a nozzle to increase its speed.
They also include a pressure switch to turn the pump on or off automatically. These are some popular Jet pumps types:
- Shallow Well Jet Pumps: Draws water from a 25’ depth to water. It also uses a single suction pipe to draw the water from well
- Deep Well Jet Pumps: Use for 25’ to 110’ depth of water vertically
- Convertible Jet Pumps: Use multiple impellers to draw water from 260’ depth of water
It is mainly used for the water supply from well or open water source to the household. They turn on and off automatically with a device called pressure switch. It is included with all jet pumps by default. Jet kit packages are needed for a proper Jet pumps installation, regardless of the chosen type.
